So I was invited to attend the APAC Venture Glitz & Glam Bloggers Party last week with more than 200 bloggers and celebrities in attendance. Avast's official distributor, APAC Venture Sdn Bhd, also announced it's collaboration with China's largest internet service provider, Tencent in the launch of WeChat Social App in Malaysia. *All photo's stolen from Samuel because it somehow didn't even cross my mind to bring a camera lol.

They were kind enough to provide a copy in the goodie bag for us to try out. :) The Avast New Version 7 gives users faster information from the "cloud" on new and emerging threats. Avast Cloud technologies have been harnessed to give users streaming updates and keep users informed an protected regardless of their internet connection.
The new FileRep feature enables faster threat identification and the newly improved AutoSandbox automatically places suspicious programs inside the Avast Sandbox. Browser Sandboxing enables users to completely isolate the browser from the rest of the system in a single click. Other improvements include compatibility with Windows 8, speed and memory usage optimizations, export/import of product settings, enhanced GUI, improved repair functions and stronger self-defense.
At only RM29.90, the Avast! Antivirus is completely affordable for everyone!
What is WeChat?
WeChat works like a messenger for your smartphones but more perks. Text messaging, hold-to-talk messaging, broadcast messaging, photo/video sharing, location sharing and contact information exchange. On top of that it's loaded with revolutionary features such as "Moments", "Look Around", "Shake" and "Drift Bottle". Shake is a pretty cool feature, all you have to do is activate it, shake your phone and watch as it discovers other users that are shaking their phones around you at the same time. A pretty nifty way to add your friends. ;)
Best of all? It's completely free! I've been push-talking with my hairdresser since last week and it's definitely a fun and easy way to keep in touch. Shake away~ ;)
PS: Just got back from a three-day long Penang foodie trip, stay tuned for food photos!
